Phentermine
Phentermine is a stimulant, oral medication, that helps suppress appetite and cravings.
Qsymia
Qsymia is an FDA approved prescription medication that contains phentermine and topiramate extended-release.
Tenuate
Tenuate, also known as diethylpropion, is used for appetite suppression when treating obesity.
Contrave
Approved by the FDA in 2014 for use in obese and overweight adults, Contrave (naltrexone and bupropion) is a combination medication used to decrease appetite and food cravings.
Saxenda
FDA approved in December of 2014, Saxenda (Liraglutide) is a daily injection for patients with Obesity.
Wegovy
Wegovy™ is a FDA approved, once weekly injectable, used for adults with obesity. It is intended to help individuals with obesity achieve weight loss as part of a comprehensive weight management plan.
Semaglutide
Semaglutide is a compounded medication used for the treatment of weight management. It works to suppress appetite and slow gut motility. This medication, when used for weight loss, is typically administered as a once a week injection. It has been shown to help people lose weight by reducing appetite and caloric intake.
Zepbound
Zepbound is an injectable prescription medicine that may help adults with obesity, or with excess weight (overweight) who also have weight-related medical problems, lose weight and keep it off. Zepbound should be used with a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity.
Mounjaro
Mounjaro™ is an injectable prescription medicine for adults with type 2 diabetes used along with diet and exercise to improve blood sugar (glucose). It is not currently FDA approved for weight loss.
Tirzepatide
Tirzepatide is a compounded medication. It works to suppress appetite, slow gut motility, and increase of insulin sensitivity. It is administered through subcutaneous injections once a week.
