Our Team
Alana Mercer, PA-C
Alana Mercer, PA-C, earned a masters degree in 2009 from Cleveland State University. She began her aesthetic journey and training in 2012 as she had a passion for overall health and wellness. She focuses on providing advanced cosmetic treatments and procedures. Alana founded Vitality health in 2014 with the aim of sharing her expertise and offering her services to the local community.
Dr. John Parente
Dr. John Parente, D.O. graduated from John Carroll University with a degree in Biology before furthering his education at Ohio University Med School earning his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine advanced degree. Dr. Parente completed his residency at Akron City Hospital and has worked in a number of the best E.R.s in Northeast Ohio. Through his education and experience, John brings with him a world of knowledge and has really excelled at implementing processes and procedures to ensure patients are provided with efficient and effective care in an environment conducive to optimum healing.
Krystina Chalfant, Certified Nurse Practitioner
Krystina earned her Bachelor's in Nursing from Cleveland State University in 2014 and later achieved her Master's in Nursing from Chamberlain University in 2020. Following the culmination of her Nurse Practitioner studies, she has devoted her career to the field of aesthetics. Joining our team in 2021, she specializes in performing injectables and cosmetic procedures. Krystina possesses a profound passion for aesthetics and a deep-seated desire to aid individuals in augmenting their natural beauty.
Seth Flask, Nurse Practitioner
Seth Flask, CNP earned a Bachelors of Science and Nursing from Kent State University. He went on to complete his Masters of Science in Nursing from Youngstown State University in 2021. Seth has experience working in Men's Health, Bariatric Surgery, and Weight Management as a Nurse Practitioner. Seth is a proud member of the Obesity Medicine Association and here at Vitality Health he provides comprehensive care to our Weight Management patients. Seth truly enjoys connecting with patients and taking the time to help them navigate through their lifestyle goals.
Lauren Piper, Office Manager
Lauren is the Office Manager at Vitality Health. With a meticulous approach, she plays a vital role in the development and implementation of policies and procedures, ensuring a streamlined and efficient operation. Lauren's academic accomplishments include graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Cleveland State University in 2022. She is driven by her passion for fostering a robust team dynamic in the workplace, enabling the delivery of exceptional patient experiences at Vitality Health.
Kora, Licensed Practical Nurse
Kora is a highly skilled professional who graduated as a Licensed Practical Nurse in 2021 from Sandusky Career Center. Kora brings a wealth of experience to her role at Vitality with over three years of previous experience in the hospital setting. As one of our proficient laser technicians, she adeptly performs various treatments while also providing valuable support in weight loss and aesthetic procedures. Kora's unwavering dedication to patient care is evident through her passion for educating individuals on personal health matters. Her profound interest in all aspects of skincare further underscores her commitment to enhancing the well-being of our valued patients.
Allison, Certified Medical Assistant
Allison is an experienced professional who achieved certification as a Clinical Medical Assistant and Phlebotomist in 2017 from the Ohio Valley College of Technology. At our office, she plays an integral role, contributing her expertise to a diverse range of aesthetic and weight loss procedures. With genuine enthusiasm, Allison takes pleasure in establishing meaningful connections with our valued patients, offering unwavering support and encouragement as they strive to achieve their personal goals. Her unwavering dedication and compassionate approach make her an invaluable asset to our team.
Emily, Advanced Licensed Esthetician
Emily graduated from Brown Aveda Institute in 2015 as a Licensed Esthetician. She has a passion for skincare, body waxing, and all things lashes and brows! Emily loves helping people to feel comfortable in their own skin. She is eager to assist her patients in learning how to best care for their skin based on each individual’s needs. Emily cannot wait to work with you and help you to reach all your skincare goals!
Rylee, Receptionist
Rylee is currently in college pursuing a bachelors degree in Business Administration. She is expected to complete her degree in 2025 from Ursuline College. Rylee has over 3 years of experience in customer service. She loves to help others in any way that she can and can't wait to work with you!
