EZPRF

What is EZPRF?
Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) is a cutting-edge treatment that utilizes a concentrated form of the body's own blood platelets to stimulate healing and tissue regeneration, particularly in aesthetic applications. It is a 100% natural process that uses your own healing processes to improve skin quality, address fine lines and wrinkles, and much more.

How does PRF work?
PRF is a component of your blood that contains platelets, growth factors, and stem cells. When used for aesthetic purposes, PRF will improve collagen and elastin production to rejuvenate and repair tissue. PRF can be used in numerous modalities including topical application or injections depending on treatment goals. PRF can be used at Vitality for the following services:
- Add on to any microneedling or Morpheus8 treatment
- Injected to targeted treatment areas on the face
- For hair restoration

How many treatments will I need?
For PRF injections, it is common to need a series of 3 treatments initially to achieve optimal results. Treatments are typically spaced 6 weeks apart. For hair restoration, it is recommended to do a series of 4 treatments initially to achieve optimal results. Treatments are typically spaced 4-6 weeks apart. After your initial treatment series, it is recommended to have follow-up treatments, to maintain results, which can be determined with your provider.

What is the difference between PRP and PRF?
While both platelet-rich fibrin and platelet-rich plasma harness the body's platelets for healing, PRF presents numerous advantages. PRF boasts a greater concentration of platelets and growth factors, resulting in more potent tissue regeneration. Furthermore, PRF produces a fibrin matrix which allows for a slower release of growth factors over a longer period in comparison to PRP. Typically, PRP releases growth factors for a few hours while PRF is up to one week. These differences make PRF the ideal treatment option with improved results compared to PRP.

What does treatment day look like?
As you are providing the product for your treatment, we kindly request that you complete our recommended preparation beforehand to ensure the best possible results. Upon your arrival at the office, topical numbing will be applied to the treatment areas for your comfort during the procedure. Our trained medical staff will then draw your blood, and our providers will prepare your PRF for injection. The injection process typically takes 5-15 minutes, depending on the area(s) treated, with the entire treatment session being approximately 45 minutes.

What should I expect the downtime to be?
Downtime following PRF treatments typically ranges from 1 to 3 days, with most patients able to resume normal activities within 24 hours. We recommend avoiding exercise, excessive heat exposure, and makeup for 72 hours or until any swelling has subsided. The most common side effects include redness, bruising, and mild swelling. In some cases, swelling can be moderate and may fluctuate for up to a week as the body goes through the healing process.

EZGEL

What is EZGEL?
EZGEL is a bio-filler created from your own blood components. This treatment is ideal for those seeking a natural way to enhance facial symmetry and boost collagen production, resulting in a more youthful appearance. With just one session, we can effectively address multiple areas of the face, such as tear troughs, cheeks, smile lines, and more.

How does EZPRF and EZGEL differ?
EZGEL contains an additional blood component known as albumin which is mixed with PRF to produce a product that is more robust to allow for volume changes in addition to the added benefits of PRF alone. EZGEL also allows for a longer release of growth factors than EZPRF.

How is EZGEL different from dermal filler?
EZGEL and dermal fillers are both used in aesthetic treatments, but they differ significantly in their composition, purpose, and how they work:
1. Composition:
ï‚·     EZGEL: Made from the patient's own blood components. The blood is processed to create a fibrin-rich gel, which is autologous (derived from the patient's own body).
ï‚·     Dermal Fillers: Typically made from synthetic or naturally occurring substances, such as hyaluronic acid. These substances are not derived from the patient's body.
2. Purpose:

ï‚·     EZGEL: Primarily used for skin rejuvenation, promoting tissue regeneration, and subtle volume changes. It is often used to improve skin texture, elasticity, and overall skin health.
ï‚·     Dermal Fillers: Mainly used to add volume to specific areas of the face, such as the cheeks and lips. They are designed to fill wrinkles, fine lines, and hollows, providing immediate volume and contouring.
3. Mechanism of Action:
ï‚·     EZGEL: Works by stimulating the body’s natural healing processes. The fibrin matrix in EZGEL promotes collagen production and tissue regeneration over time. The effects are more gradual and focused on improving skin quality from within.
ï‚·     Dermal Fillers: Provide immediate volume and lift to the treated areas by physically filling the space under the skin. The results are immediate, and the primary effect is volumizing rather than regeneration.
4. Longevity:
ï‚·     EZGEL: The effects of EZGEL develop over time as the body’s healing processes are stimulated. The duration of the results varies, but they generally last several months.
ï‚·     Dermal Fillers: The duration of dermal fillers varies depending on the type of filler used, but they generally last from 6 months to 2 years, depending on the area treated and the product used.
5. Suitability:
ï‚·     EZGEL: Ideal for patients looking for a more natural, regenerative approach to skin rejuvenation and facial balancing.
ï‚·     Dermal Fillers: Suitable for those looking for immediate results in terms of volume and contouring, particularly in areas where loss of fat or tissue volume has occurred.
